My passion for filmmaking started at age 12 with the discovery of my father’s Super-8 camera.  I
immediately began experimenting with FX and animation which continued to amuse myself and my
friends.

Years later, I rediscovered my passion when I took my first film class in college. Right there and then I
knew what I wanted to do the rest of my life.

I started in the business as a runner for New World Pictures and moved up the ladder to assistant
editing and eventually cutting trailers. After two years, I left NWP to make my own movies.  I teamed up
with my good friend and production partner, Lindsay Norgard and put together a no budget Super-8
sci-fi feature called "Game of Survival". The film actually made it to Blockbuster and earned the
distributer decent returns. It was an invaluable learn-from-mistakes experience...

After a couple of years of directing and shooting indie features, my friend Andy Naud offered me an
entry level position with his father Tom Naud's company INTROVISION INTERNATIONAL. Being a
huge fan of visual effects, I jumped at the opportunity. One day while working on the effects shots for
the television series "Team Knight Rider" Andy gave me a chance to light one of the miniature sets.
I must have done a decent job as they made me the head FX cinematographer after that. Andy and
Tom gave me many opportunities to experiment and push the envelop with the Introvision system
which at the time led the field in visual effects. I learned a great deal and am forever grateful to Tom
and Andy.

The producer/director of "Team Knight Rider", Scott McAboy, a passionate and hands-on filmmaker
himself, hired me to shoot effects for a few of his other television shows which I was delighted to do.
A few years later, I got a surprise call from him offering me to DP his upcoming TV show "Son of the
Beach". I didn't realize the scope of the project until I showed up on the set the first day of the shoot.
Working with Scott and his team was a fantastic experience which I will always cherish.

A few years later I shot Drew Carey'sTV show "The Green Screen Show" for WB and later Damon
Wayan's "The Underground" for ShowTime, both were short lived but extremely fun shows. The things I
will  remember the most working on those shows is that Drew is one of the most appreciative and
generous guys in the business and that Damon is a comedic genius.

I have since started an agency and have been mostly shooting, directing and producing commercials.
I'm still developing projects one of which is a TV show with Kevin Sorbo called "Fireside Fables" and
a slew of features in the works with Lindsay Norgard.

My motto? MMM.

Must Make Movies!
